Green Smoothie Recipe - Gorilla Juice

Gorilla Juice
3-4 cups of filtered water
1-2 drops of lemon oil
2 bananas
2-3 cups of mixed greens - kale, spinach, beet greens, swiss chard in this case
3/4 cup frozen blueberries
Either liquid stevia or stevia packets to sweeten (do not use sugar or other artificial sweeteners)

Blend away!  If you want to add ice, feel free.  I tend to like mine a juice-like consistency and my kids seem to drink it better if it is that way as well.

Taco Salad

About a month ago, my bestie and I bought a bag of sprouted dried beans at Costco.  Since then, we have experimented, putting it into salads and other recipes.  It actually makes a great taco filling!  We used the following recipe tonight for dinner.

Vegan Taco Filling - serves a lot, and can be used as a chili
1 green bell pepper chopped
1 onion chopped
3 pieces of garlic chopped
1 can of organic diced tomatoes
1/4 cup lawrey's taco seasoning

Make the Organic Bean Trio and Quinoa according to the instructions.  Sautee the chopped bell pepper and onion in the coconut oil.  Put all of the ingredients into a crockpot and turn on high for one hour, then turn down to low, mix every hour or so, and let simmer.

Serve as tacos with corn tortillas or tortillas of choice.  Or, put on top of a salad of romaine.

Green Smoothie Recipe - who needs coffee or diet coke?!

Green Smoothie Recipe
2-3 cups of filtered water (just depends on if you want it more juice or more smoothie consistency)
1-2 apples  (if it isn't organic, scrape off the peel, slice it up, and stick it in your blender)
1-2 cups of romaine or spinach (I like the spinach better, last night I had romaine.  Romaine tastes like dirt blended up - I prefer the sweeter taste of spinach and would rather just use romaine in a salad)
4-5 drops of lemon oil or the juice of one lemon

If you can't handle the tartness right away, feel free to add some stevia.  I added a drop of peppermint oil as well to give it a "refreshing beverage" type of flavor.
